How Transcarent Works
Transcarent is an employer-sponsored health and care platform with more than 15 years of experience running surgical Centers of Excellence programs for self-insured employers. Its surgical program was built on the foundation of BridgeHealth, a company that pioneered the COE model for employer-sponsored bariatric care long before it became widely adopted.
When surgery is appropriate, Transcarent connects you with a vetted surgeon through its Centers of Excellence network. All care is coordinated by a personal Health Guide assigned to your case from your first appointment through your recovery. You access the benefit through a single app or by phone, with live assistance to help you at every step.

How to Access Your Transcarent Benefit

Verify your coverage
Log in to your employee benefits portal or ask your HR department if Transcarent is included in your plan. You can also call our office and we will check with you directly.

Connect with your Health Guide
Once your eligibility is confirmed, a personal Health Guide is assigned to your case. They coordinate everything from your first appointment through your recovery.

Schedule your consultation
As an in-network provider, Dr. Korman is available to members whose plan includes bariatric surgery. He'll review your health history and determine which procedure is right for you.

Complete pre-op requirements
Your Health Guide coordinates all preparation steps, appointments, and medical records on your behalf.

Have your procedure
Dr. Korman performs your bariatric procedure. Your surgery is covered, travel is arranged if needed, and your Health Guide stays with you every step of the way.
